Moose was unfortunately put on the euthanasia list at BARC, but fortunately rescued by a loving foster family very quickly. After seeing the pictures and hearing all about him, a generous family decided to foster him to give him the best possible chance of finding a forever home. He wasn’t feeling too well when he was first brought home but has since regained his health and his personality has really come out! Moose is an 82 pound lap dog. He loves to hang out on the couch and also loves to keep you warm in bed, IF he is allowed! Moose is house broken. He doesn’t care much for the kennel but can be easily bribed with a few treats! He knows sit, stay and shake, although he is easily distracted and decides when he doesn’t want to sit still any longer. With a little work, those commands could be polished with no problem. Moose loves his ball and will fetch and pretty much bring it back but sometimes decides to keep it. He has been living with another large dog and has done well. We have not been around cats so do not know how that would go. He walks well on the leash and loves to go for walks at the park. Moose also enjoys car rides and easily jumps in, although can be a clumsy passenger given his long legs and height! Moose will make a great companion for someone who loves to cuddle with a huge lap dog!
