the amazing volunteers who dedicate so much time to the animals.
They are the heart of our organization, and we would not be able to
rescue animals without them – They are our Heroes!

Feral cats (also known as community cats, alley cats, and often even stray cats) are a common
sighting in
Houston. With over 1.4 million cats being euthanized in the United States every year, a TNR program
like Animal
Justice League's is one way to help lower these numbers. Since June 2014, Animal Justice League has
trapped and
spayed/neutered over 600 cats!
TNR is Trap-Neuter-Return. It is the only proven way to reduce the population of feral cats. Cats
are humanely
TRAPPED, then NEUTERED (or spayed), and then RETURNED to the location where they were found. Feral
cats who have
been fixed will have a notch taken out of their left ear.
If you would like to help with our feral cat outreach, there are two easy ways to help. If you would
like to
assist with trapping, transport, or foster for approx 2 days while they recover from surgery, please
fill out
our volunteer application.
