Meet Canon! This majestic goofball was found dodging traffic with a bad limp - and a whole lot of heart. Turns out he’d been living with a broken leg for nearly a month! He’s all fixed up now and making a full recovery in a loving foster home with plenty of crate rest (which he handles like a pro) and even more belly rubs (his absolute favorite). Canon is potty-trained, loves walks, toys, treats, and - inexplicably - pooping in the bushes. He’s been mellow during recovery (thanks to pain medication) but has little bursts of zoomies that hint at a playful, active, and sometimes mischievous side. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, good with other dogs (foster has another male dog) and has calmly observed kids. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and ridiculously handsome sidekick, Canon’s your dog! He's just been cleared to return to full activity from the broken leg (yay!) and he’s halfway through his heartworm treatment which is fully covered by AJL. He’ll need a few more weeks of crate rest and then be ready to jump into your life!
