Izzy is the definition of easygoing. She’s mellow, incredibly sweet, and happiest when she’s close to her people. She loves laying in the sun (“baking” is her favorite hobby), getting pets, and curling up for naps around the house. She’s housetrained and quiet inside. She only speaks up occasionally outside, and even then, it’s rare. But don’t let her calm vibe fool you—Izzy gets very excited when her people come home. It’s one of her best (and most heartwarming) qualities. When she first came to her foster home, Izzy was overweight and moved slowly. But she’s been working hard, slimming down, and feeling better every day. She can jog now, and recently got the zoomies for the first time—it was a proud moment. She’s great with other dogs, gentle around kids (especially older ones), and totally non-confrontational with cats. In fact, she’s kind of scared of them and will politely avoid them. Izzy would love a calm home with someone who’s around most of the time. She doesn’t need much—just your company, a cozy place to nap, and maybe a sunny spot to stretch out. She’d be an amazing match for someone looking for a loyal, low-maintenance best friend. If you're looking for a super sweet dog who’s all heart, Izzy might very well be the one.
